Photo Emission Tech., Inc. (PET), a California Corporation, started business in 1994. Until recently the company's main business was manufacturing and marketing Optically Stimulated Electron Emission (OSEE) systems that are used for quantitatively checking surface cleanliness, monitoring, evaluating and optimizing cleaning processes.
In 1999, PET purchased a new 5,600 Sq. Ft. building, which houses modern design, assembly and testing facilities. Since the move, PET has started designing, manufacturing and marketing Solar Simulation Systems and Ultra Violet (UV) Spot Curing Systems.
Solar Simulation Systems simulate the spectra of the sun in the earth's atmosphere or in space. Applications include testing solar cells, environmental exposure testing and studying of photochemistry / photobiology effects.
UV Spot Curing Systems are used for curing UV initiated epoxies in several industrial applications, including but not limited to glass/metal bonding, Optical Component Mounting, etc.
The technology for both the Solar Simulation and UV Spot Curing Systems has been transferred from Yamashita Denso Corporation (YD) of Japan, a leading manufacturer of these systems for the past twenty years. YD is one of the few companies in the world that designs, manufactures and markets Solar Simulation Systems that meet the ASTM E927 Class A requirements.
